The CryptoBrawl competition is first and foremost an invitation to have fun together and take a look at how far modern data analysis techniques can be useful in everyday life. None of the organisers is imposing a particular view, but we are only offering a possibility to confront one's own approach with the methods of other participants. After predicting the basic parameters of the COVID-19 pandemic, which developed dynamically last spring and continues to this day, this time we will look at cryptocurrencies, in which so many people around the world invested during the lockdown. However, we will not be focusing on the decentralised finance market as a means of performing banking activities outside the banking system, but instead aim to demonstrate the effectiveness of managing a virtual wallet of currencies comprising only the US dollar and the two dominant cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Allowed in the confrontation are ... any mixed techniques, and the effectiveness of the strategy will be judged solely on the value of the portfolio as valued at the end of each round based on real quotes. Therefore, this is not a competition only for prepared traders, financiers, mathematicians, programmers, data analysts, or machine learning experts. Paraphrasing the words of Professor Iwo Białynicki-Birula, we would like this to be yet another attempt to "bridge the gap that still exists between two cultures: natural and humanistic. Whether this will happen we will find out soon: the registration stage for 3-person teams opens on October, 11.
